Wow, thanks your your input guys. It isn't so much that I want to make a
living playing gurdy. When i transferred from the sciences over to music, i
had already accepted a fate of hard times, and if anything college is
helping me prepare.(thank god for loving parents =P) But, I'm not so much
planning on making a living playing. I'm not going to school for performance
or anything, i'm going to school to be an audio engineer. The real problem
is, is everyone here thinks that you are just going to get a playing job
when you graduate, or in between your other jobs. And the response to
someone playing a 'non-traditional' is kind of funny. Profs make jokes about
there not being a program here, coments on how it probably wont bring
anything to me, financially (again i dont really care.), sort of an "oh THAT
guy that doesnt play contempory music" feeling from my friends/peers. Its an
over all "well its nice you play that neat instrument, but its time you get
back to reality" vibe from most of the people. The exception however,
ironically, from my bass instructor, and my music history teacher. I'm
going to look into Indiana Univ. i was also suggested a look over seas. Alot
of deliberation on my part over the summer!

Thanks again guys!
