It's smooth, it's shiny, and it's curved.  Like the front fender of a Jaguar. 
Maybe we can chalk it up to whatever makes people caress the curvy parts of
cars.  (From this you should all be able to figure out that I'm not a Car
Person.  The automobile is for transportation.)
