Sorry, this was intended to be a private note, but since I've committed
the blunder past recall, I may as well profit from throwing the question
open. Anyone have recent experience they can share, in this age of
official paranoia and airline cupidity?

interest in. She's planning to try to bring it home this next week,
hence the question. How did you bring yours to OTW last year? As
checked baggage, or carry-on? Was there any sort of problem with
doing that? She'll be flying Air France and invariably brings back a
whacking great haul of flea-market swag for her antiques/collectibles
business, but it always flies as checked baggage and she really
doesn't much care what happens to it. This is different ...
