Actually, it's more likely the _lack_ of humidity as the heat goes on causing 
the keybox to shrink slightly.  (Margarita lives in a Chicago suburb - our 
weather is the same... :-)

In any case, the graphite lubricant is the low risk first approach to try.  
I've 
been successful just pulling the tangent and lightly rubbing the sticking area 
of the shaft with a pencil lead, no need to risk any dust flying around with a 
brush.
