well, i have to say that there are only a few things that suck on the rm1x.
first is there is no rps(this is a sampler-emulating feature that i would
love to have so i could do real drum n bass) also, you can't record your
pattern mode mixes in song mode unless you lay out all that you might use
then mute shit even then you are very limited. Pattern chain mode seems to
fart out with polyphonic dealings i guess thats good for all those patterns
that try to emulate the great monophonic sequencers of the 303 and the
individual sounds of tr boxes woo hoo four on the floor action!! ...no
anyway song mode is a bust unless you want to do nothing with you music but
show it to your friends when you have perfected your neat hobby project, you
can't do any of the things that make patern mode rock while in song mode like
switch phrases on the fly. this basically goes back to not being able to
record pattern and style changes and if pattern chain mode is supposed to be
able to do this, then it needs some improvement i.e. less unreadable garbage
on the screen like positions etc. i personally need a visual not textual
interface thats why pattern mode can be so great
very obviously also, the fact that the synth is so unrealistically
unprofessional that there are no user spaces for drum kits and voices i mean
why even put a synth in there? am i usuing one of those cheesy battery
powered xg composers screw that!

then there is a huge need for multiple outputs and should be remedied with an
optional new metal cover (cause i ain't gonna drill my own holes!) and more
outputs
or maybe a stereo break-up box that will split the channels or something but
i think it should be remedied and not ignored by yamaha. just think, if they
did fix those problems, then everyone with an rm1x would probably purchase
the fix
