I have a sb-live value too, and can't figure how to get it to respond to
external midi (my rm1x). If I run the 'keyboard' program I can get it to
respond to one channel, but only if it is the active window (focused window
i think is the proper term) Is there some kind of 'front end' program that
needs to be running to get it to sense the midi-in from my outboard gear?.
The whole layout kind of has me stumped too. Are all the soundfonts on the
same midi channel but in different banks? How to select the banks
correctly? Etc. I can do it in cakewalk, but I'd rather not use a software
sequencer (that's what the rm1x is for) Any help you wonderful people can
give me would be much appreciated.
