So are you talking about changing just the midi input code?
If i play note 36 (on a midi keyb or via an external sequencer that is
connected to H2) will this trigger the same sound before and after the
patch?
If i understand correctly, it will not be the same sample but it will be
the sample that used to be on note 37. Right?

However, existing songs will not be affected. Thats nice.

However 2, doesnt this mean that the few GM compliant drumkits that we have
now, will no longer be GM compliant?

If im correct thats quite a big change that impacts all drumkits
However 3, as i wrote above there are very few (if any) drumkits that are
100% GM compliant so i guess there is no real big problem.

One of the things i would really like to do in the next months that is
re-make some of the true _drum_kits that we have and make them GMcompliant.
I think that a lot of users would like that (opinions please?)

Of course we cant just replace the current kits with the compliant version,
so that means that we need to keep both versions available on the server +
find a good way to distinguish between the 2 versions.

Idease please?

hmm, nothing.
the midi input handling(midi note mapping) is completely hard coded.
