After spending most of the morning birding around Big Creek and the upper lake with John McCecil, I stopped at Cherry Glen and observed a 1st/2nd year Glaucous Gull sitting on the ice and a White-winged Scoter in the big hole off Sandpiper. Also in the hole were two Redheads and a Red-breasted Merganser. It was odd to see three species at one time that were not present for the CBC. No luck with the Iceland or kittiwake.
