To go back to Joe's original problem where secondary space management
quit working, how are the VTOCs looking on your ML1 volumes? A few
weeks ago, one of our ML1 volume VTOCs filled up and HSM quit doing much
of anything - including ML2 migration. HSM was kind enough to delete
some expired datasets from the ML1 volume but I had to run a RELEASE
command to tell HSM that it was OK to start running his processes again.

I don't know if there is a command within HSM to get it to tell what
processes may be HELD or for what reason they may be held. Somebody on
the list who knows more about HSM could maybe shed some light.

HTH.

Well, now you've got me going here. I did the LIST ML1 command and
receive the same information that Joe does. Our SSM is working just
fine and we run HSM audits on a daily basis. Hmmmm .... now on to the
manuals
