Ed,
I brought this up two or so years ago but never did find the vendor.
I saw a 3 X 5 card that said that a software vendor (in Chicago IIRC)
could view and print (I think they said they required an PSF
printer) PDF files on a 3270.
So if the vendor does exist and we take them at their word it is
somehow feasible to do so. Like I said I never did find the company
or anyone that would substantiate the claim.

I am throwing this out as a suggestion. IIRC the output is an AFP Jes

From what I can tell it's a real .pdf file. With Info-print have to
have a
transformer AFP2PDF to do this. But this a VPS controlled printer
with special
exits to handle the formatting.
Kind of poking the proverbial 'bear with a stick' since the sending
vendor
hasn't been named seems like they would provide samples or IVPs for
their
product. If the VPS folks can't shed any light on it don't see
anything else
obvious. Some of the PSF/AFP folks lurk on this list but don't know
if they can
help in this situation.
