I believe the original poster mentioned this being proposed for auditing
purposes so the auditors are presumably aware of the plan.  But any
auditors worth their salt (and I assume such auditors must exist ... even
though they are in short supply around here) would see that the technique
to insert the audit trap also could be used to avoid that trap.  You
would have to convince the auditors that while the good guys would
implement this in a fool-proof fashon, no brigand could.

This doesn't sound like a well though out plan to me.
