As you said we have to unmount the top one first...
but i am facing the problem in the same ...
it was not unmounting the top one and hence not able the unmount the bottom
one too..

the "top" one first, before the "bottom" ones can be unmounted.  An
example of this is your service root.  Say its mounted at /Service.  You
then mount the service HFS for Mqseries at /Service/usr/lpp/mqs (or
something like that).  You have to unmount the service Mqseries HFS
first, before you can unmount the service root.

Basically, order does matter.

Hi All,

I am facing one problem while unmounting the HFS.
Let me explaing the problem in details:

I am running one JCL to unmount all the HFS mounted (say 10 HFS), First
step in the JCL gives the Super User access to the ID.
The second step is coded to unmount all the HFS.
when we run the JCL both the steps execute successfully with RC=0 But it
doesn't unmount all the HFS, it unmounts only few of them..

I am not able to get, where exactly the problem occurred.
