I think part of the reason there are more posts of this type is that some places aren't paying for the levels of support to the ISV's to allow them to call with how-to questions OR some people just fell uncomfortable talking to people about these issues and prefer the "anonymity" of email. I have at times posted questions asking "how" but only after the other avenues have been used. The large IBM-Main community is a valuable resource. <snip> In the non-mainframe world (particularly *nix), there are groups, similar to this, that you ask questions of to figure out how things are done or should be done. One vendor that I have dealt with even pushed support questions to their user group web site, which allows them to cut costs of support. So, if that is the mindset that you have because of where you have been and are now coming to the mainframe world... I think we need to get ready to be teachers.
