SMS Striped and Compressed are a really good combination for SMF data
that you will read back later in bulk to do end of day processing.

This dumps a 99900 block (49950 tracks) MAN data set into compressed
data sets that are normally less than 6000 tracks. MAN data sets are
CISIZE 26624. MXG http://www.mxg.com ANALSMF procedure is a very nice
tool if you want to look at the way the data is being written.
