and for some stupid reason Abendaid does not allow importing of
SYS1.DUMP datasets, but it does for any other name.

The reasons for not allowing Abend-AID for CICS to import directly from
SYS1.DUMPxx data sets are as follows:
(1) If the SYS1.DUMPxx data set was in use by Abend-AID for CICS (i.e.
the
dump was being analyzed by Abend-AID or someone was viewing the
dump
via Abend-AID) and z/OS selected that dump data set as the target
of a
new dump then DUMPSRV would be unable to obtain an exclusive ENQ on
it.
(2) The volatility of the data in the SYS1.DUMPxx data sets is too
high.
After the dump has been analyzed by Abend-AID it expects that the
data
in the dump data set will remain unchanged until the dump is
deleted.
However it will inform the user if the data in the dump data set
does
not match the analysis data.
