Whatever you try to do in an SRB routine, make sure you don't code any system services that have an SVC instruction in their macro expansions. SVCs cannot be executed in SRB mode (except for the ABEND service, which uses an SVC). Most system services now have a parameter that governs whether the macro expansion will use an SVC or something else (PC or BALR perhaps).
