Maybe this affects us more than 'real' z/OS users because we are all in 
development.

We still have software that does this. It's immensely useful to be able to list 
objects that have been created for your task, address space, system, or 
sysplex. ENQ/GQSCAN/ISGQUERY does this nicely. Name/Token?
Not so much (or at all).
