    Does the cmsmvs version fail like this if you execute it under 
z/Unix? In other words, by running the version you get in zip31b/mvs 
when you build in cmsmvs with "gmake -f mvs.mki hfs". Or does it just 
fail when you run it via the MVS JCL?
