Your reply on my question shows it is not in a CF environment. Check your SYSLOG. Or IPL to see some interesting messages. You will quickly see some worrying messages about READ only mode. Depending on what you see, you will have to decide what route you will follow. It is not an easy route to follow, of course. Or go to RACF-L. There are good gurus hanging out there. I would have an IBM guy/gal hanging around just to be safe in such a scenario.
