I had thought Blu-Ray was massively encumbered in patents and contracts to protect the IP interests of media providers, therefore no Blu-Ray players were available for computers; only embedded in viewers.
Or does that pertain only to entertainment content? Does IBM (or other vendors) make software available on Blu-Ray?
