Blu-Ray players were available for computers; only embedded in viewers.

BD drives (DB stands for Blueray Drive) are available on computer
stores. It's like with DVD's decade ago: BD-ROM (plus DVD and CD
recorder) is for peanuts, BD-Recorder is a little more expensive, but
still cheap. BD-R medium price PER GIGABYTE is comparable to regular DVD
medium (note, Double Layer media are more expensive).
Personally I would prefer to get everything on single USB Pendrive. It's
cheaper than single tape cart. I can be 16GB or 32GB or 64GB if needed.

I would like to have standard folder structure like /DOC /ISO, /SMPE
(just ad hoc, it can be refined). Plus some tool to upload /SMPE content
directly to my SMPE environment with no big objects in my HFS od
mainframe DASD. Customize it for the first time and one click for next
times.
I can pay everytime for the USB stick :-)
Oh, USB stick should be inserted to my desktop PC or HMC (users choice).
