Alas, IEBCOPY PDSU is bound to RECFM=VBS. It should be freed from this bondage,
or a utility with comparable function provided to deal with DVD formats.
AWSTAPE
on DVD, served by NFS? Still, there's no z/OS base facility to deal with
AWSTAPE.

Wherein I see:
    ...
Chapter 3. Contents of the Product Package
        Relative File Tape
Format and Contents of the RELFILE Tape
        Program Directory (Installation Manual)
            Contents of the Program Directory
    ...
"Tape". Where do I look for a comparable description of DVD? Have I missed it?
Years ago, I submitted an RCF for it. I got something like an agreement in
principle from IBM pubs. I have seen no results.

I agree with you that DVD packaging is more tedious for the customer and for
the ISV. May we agree in the wish that IBM devote the effort to make DVD
packaging comparable?
