I 'think' it's not overwritten because RMM still has it as a DFHSM mig tape. I've tried recalls and get this in syslog - IEC501A M 0320,V05537,SL,COMP,DFHSM,DFSMSHSM.S1,DFHSM.HMIGTAPE.DATASE ARC0645I DFHSM ,DFSMSHSM,0320,T,RESIN1 ,READ ,DATA 751 ARC0645I (CONT.) CHECK ,0000000001,BSAM IEF234E K 0320,V05537,PVT,DFHSM,DFSMSHSM
And this to my tso session - ARC1001I MOMM.xxx.xxxxxxx.G0709V00 RECALL FAILED, RC=0012, REAS=0000 ARC1112I ERROR READING BACKUP/MIGRATED COPY Trying not to write off the tapes, only backups/migration copies of datasets at this point. Haven't recycled, and type was expired in scratch status for a time, but updated back to status master. Some datasets have 2 backup tapes, both with the same error. Can you recall them? See how far you can get with recalling. That is if you did not RECYCLE that tape and that tape was NOT expired. If you can't get your datasets off, write off the tape or try AUDIT FIX / NOFIX. Do you have another copy of that tape? Did you reviewed all replies to your questions? I believe you may have missed someone.
