Here are the basics that I understand on this OP. Tape is VIRTUAL. Tape shows small number of bytes. This typically indicates the tape storage has been recovered in the scratch process. Otherwise it would normally show MB of data. This indicates that even though RMM/CA1/HSM may show data on the tape, the VTS no longer has that data on the tape volume.
So, I am thinking that the files are lost on the tape. That perhaps a call to the hardware vendor to see what next steps could be done, would be appropriate. Or, what needs to be done to clean up the inconsistency between RMM/CA1/HSM and the VTS?
