One of the arguments in the article was that the source is no longer available for all the programs.

If I am not mistaken, in the mid-80s, Palm Beach County did a VSE to MVS-XA migration, and I think any source problems were addressed during that migration by Teco Technologies (I think that is who won the bid for the migration).

I'm not sure if the School District was running on one of the three systems that PBC had in the data center where I was part of the team that examined and projected the resource needs to do the migration.

Any way, I mention this "we don't know if you have the source for the programs" claim, because it is getting old to me.

I've done multiple migrations (plus how many did the Y2K remediation?) where missing source had to be resolved.
