Indeed. But to wait 20 min is way too long [0] if you have a fast and furious machine. Ask the automation to issue all those D OMVS,... [1] and D A,L commands before you do F OMVS,SHUTDOWN. Perhaps you can discover what is potentially draw your system down and compare that with your D A,L result. [2] Groete / Greetings Elardus Engelbrecht [0] - Have your hardware including disks checked out. From past and painful experience many years ago, we moved some datasets to another volser which eventually broke down later... [1] - we issue about a dozen of such display of status, settings, etc. during and after IPL and also just before we start the process to shut down the system. [2] - we do stop all the systems, including, LLA, VLF, DLF and NETVIEW which you listed. All things are stopped/cancelled, then we do D A,L for last time check, then after that we stop OMVS, then Z EOF and getting out of Sysplex/XCF. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- For IBM-MAIN subscribe / signoff / archive access instructions, send email to [email protected] with the message: INFO IBM-MAIN
