Peter, A *LONG* time ago a vendor we had, had a logic error in the CPUID checking. I was given a zap over the phone to branch around the logic. It worked. A few days later we had a tape show up with a fix to the routine and I installed it and it worked as it should have. No fuss, a zap, no big deal.
