And on that note: When is IBM going to come up with a "non-tape" version of SPXTAPE? One of my two systems has no tape drives anymore, and since we only use them during the install, I can see a time when the other system loses its access to tape as well (I have a z/VM 5.3 DVD sitting on my desk).
The only function I have that completely relies on tape is SPXTAPE. Isn't it time that there was a disk-based utility to perform the same function? -- .~. Robert P.
