Hello:

I have one on the shaft but I'm thinking about putting one on the strut
also. It's getting pock marked. I'm thinking the flat kind that power
boaters use . I could drill and tap a hole to attach it. The rubber inside
the cutlass bearing electrically isolates the strut from the shaft so the
shaft zinc can't protect the strut. The bronze thru-hulls would be
protected by a bonding wire, although I don't have one and they are in great
shape for an old boat (and Nigel Calder doesn't recommend bonding the
thru-hulls - he states they will actually deteriorate faster if attached to
a bonding wire.

Subject: [IC27A] Zincs

What is the usual compliment of zincs on a C27? I checked catalina direct
that they didn't have much in the way of parts. I want to be sure I am not
missing any when I splash the boat.

Thanks

Derek.
