Hi Art,

 

You said neutral, which is the common term for return side (common)
connection in an AC circuit. Did you mean to type negative the typical
common connection for DC?

Cabin light fuse blew and a blew a second time with all lights off.

4 ohms from blue wire to neutral with the lights off?

Wiring runs forward from the starboard panel (with a blue wire) to the
starboard light to v berth light through the anchor locker to the other v
berth light on the port side to the port side cabin light then aft to ??????

I know 4 ohms will produce a 3 amp current on a 12 volt system - not enough
to blow a 20 amp fuse.

Has anyone run into this problem?
