Hello Abraham,
I use FX sails pretty frequently. They offer a pretty good sail at a good
price. I just checked and the standard main for a C-27 is $ 809.00. You can add
extras that will make the price go up, same as any other sailmaker. Here is a
link  http://www.thesailstore.com/catalina-sails-c-39.html
I have also used Bacon sails over the years. They primarily sell used sails,
although they have recently started selling new sails as well. I believe that
they use Rolly Tasker as the primary sailmaker. They sell good sails at a good
price. Here is a link http://www.baconsails.com/
My next choice would be Lee Sails. They made all the new sails for many
manufacturers over the years. I know they made all the sails for Seafarer, at
the moment I can't seem to remember some of the other brands but it seems the
list was pretty lengthy. Here is a link http://www.leesails.com/

Over the years I have also used Shure, North and Neil Pride all of which made
good sails. In hind sight (my gift from God) they were over priced for what I
got. Mind you they were all good sails, they just weren't that much better than
the brands I use now.

Now a qualifier to hopefully prevent the host of "your an idiot" emails. We are
discussing cruising sails NOT racing sails.
Best Regards
Joe Rose

Hi Everyone,
New here, recently bought a 1978 Cat 27 and need a new mainsail. I tried to
"recover it" with SailCare but the price is to close to a new one from what I
have seen.

Any suggestions on buying a new sail? I am fairly new to sailing, had a Cat 22
before but never had to get a new sail. I don't race, not interested for now,
my wife and I cruise in the Long Island Sound, so I am looking for a main that
suits my sailing needs and my wallet (yes, price do matter, I've seen prices
from $1200 to $620<---Ebay, Kelly-Hanson)

Any advice will be very much appreciated.
Thank you!
-Abraham
