[IC27A] Bilge Pumps

I am curious as to the bilge pump setup in other C27s.  My 1986 has a Rule 2000 
with a float switch.  It seems to do the job, but I have the usual inch or so 
of backflow when when the pump shuts off.  Does anyone have a better solution?
