It sounds like you need the shroud plate upgrade kit from Catalina Direct. My guess is that if your boat doesn't have them, it also probably has the original spreader brackets.

Also, I have noticed that all the deadlights have a slight leak now when raining (what I assume is a result of the hull contorting enough to break the seals around them all). whats the best way to remove these and re set them and how much time should I set aside.
