Mike, Really??? How do you shape your sail without using your main sheet?
My sheet releases fine in a blow, but in light wind I have to pull the last two lines out between the blocks then the main will drift out. I always thought it was too much friction, a small price to pay for the power of the purchase. (Ha ha, I'm such a punster!) My line is pretty thick too, but easy on the hands. -Ivan Sent Using my Blackberry 8350i -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] Sender: [email protected] Date: Tue, 13 Jul 2010 15:09:12 To: <[email protected]> Reply-To: [email protected] Subject: RE: [IC27A] Mainsail travel I have an 86. Same problem. Hardly ever use the main sheet. Poor design and too much friction. Start using your traveler and you will be happy. The only time I use my main sheet is to get it all the way out there in down wind situations. Its your best and truly only solution.
