Ralph's solution is a good one, but one caveat - the single braid is a looser
construction than the cover on a double braid. I tried to swap out double
braid sheets for salsa single braid (higher tech material - yes, I do race),
and it handled great, except that the individual strands had a tendency to
catch and pull on the self tailin 'foot' that peels the line out of the jammer.
Much harder to clear than the hockle at the block.

Went back to simple (non high tech) double braid, which three or four times a
year we just stream out behind the boat to relax.
