Hi Trish,

>What does it mean when a horse moves away as soon as I start brushing,
>especially the chest area? I've tried a lighter touch and a stronger
>touch and my horse does not seem to like to be groomed. He has had
>chiro work and did not have any major issues.

I would say the horse is trying to tell you something. Just because a horse
doesn't have skeletal issues (and good to have had the chiropractor check)
doesn't mean they can't have soft tissue issues. I find that horses
sensitive to being touched, groomed on the chest is they might be tight at
the base of the neck. Do you have any photos?

unrealistic."

"All truth passes through three stages.
First, it is ridiculed. Second, it is violently opposed.
Third, it is accepted as being self-evident." ~ Arthur Schopenhauer
