>>>> Even with my limited horse experience I can agree with this--it's our
Gat. I've also noticed that Gat's more energetic with Alex now that Alex
has grown and is developing into a better rider. With my
youngest, Taly, Gat's very quiet.

It looks to me like Gat and Alex are getting to be a great team. That
didn't happen overnight, though, did it? You are to be commended I think
for being as perceptive and persistent that you've done everything that
you've done to facilitate that, but when it's all said and done, ultimately,
it took time for them to bond, don't you think? When I saw Alex and Gat in
that ring in the videos, I wasn't looking so much at Gat's gaits - the first
thing I looked at was that Gat seemed willing to participate, that she
didn't hesitate doing what Alex asked, and the best I could tell her ears
were up and she seems just fine with her life as Alex's buddy. They both
just looked happy. That's something to treasure... There will always be a
bond between Emily and Thunder, as long as he lives, and even after it's
only in our memories.

Karen Thomas, noticing this weekend that our old Thunder has lost weight
again....
