I uploaded Alex & Gat cantering to Google--you can see how Gat keept breaking into pace.
Wow...does that ever bring back memories for me. I was riding right along with Alex. She's doing well with Gat to get any canter out of her at all. And of course Gat seems more relaxed going one way than the other...but that's the way it usually is. If Alex gave her about one or two inches more of rein....what would happen? One problem Hreggur had was that if he moved at any speed he always wanted to bunch his head back toward me....and pace. It took hours and hours of just walking to get him to stretch out. She's doing great with her though, I was never successful in getting more than 10 (maybe 20) strides of canter at a time. I'll be interested to see another canter video in another month or so. Wanda
