I was interested in what karen said that kinda inferred a pacey horse is not prone to canter. My jaspar is very pacey and hard wired to pace and has pace conformation according to lee and liz, but he has a nice canter and breaks into it easily. but i wonder if that is cause I have trail ridden him so extensively with fast gaiting horses and every time he broke into a hard pace I would nuidge him into his canter? So it became a habit?
Stonewall, on the other hand, will NOT canter. I can't GET him to canter, and he is very nicely gaited as a racker. Janice -- yipie tie yie yo
