because first you realize adding weight makes them gait better then
you realize if they are a little to the pacey (or trotty) side they
gait even better with weight added so then they start breeding for
pace.  happens every day.  Theres not a biglick walking horse on the
planet that wasnt bred to be pacey so when they add the weight and the
big shoes they square right up.  As a result all the offspring with
WGC bloodlines have so much pace in there its almost impossible to
find one that will do the signature gait of the breed barefooted.
