I have sorta lost my confidence with Stonewall! I hate to admit it but Lord who cares, its to be expected I guess! I havent been able to ride since because of various problems but I could have ridden this weekend and didnt. I accomplished lots of groundwork with him and all my other horses but it was because I was chicken i think! I am going on a lazy calm ride saturday. I am off fri so I think I will work stonewall in the yard until he is soft and calm like he was this weekend and then get on him and ride him in the rp and then trailer him to the arena and ride him around there. The arena has a very soft floor of fluffy dirt :) Then saturday is a big ride but I will ride Jaspar. Then Sunday I want to trailer Stonewall and Tivar to Sylvia's house and hang out there. She said she will help me with my confidence. And there is an "alley" that is scarey to horses and I want to take Tivar up and down it to make sure he is ok with being charged by horses on the other side of a fence. It is a narrow trail you have to go thru to get to the nature trail, lined on both sides by electric fence and horses who come to charge the fence any time horses go by. Stonewall always gives me fits there and Sylvias horse does too. In fact we sometimes dismount. So we are gonna work on taking the horses up and down thru there until they are calm. if need be I will just do it from the ground the whole time.
