The reason I ask is because the woman who "bought"
Foxi was to have had a vet check before I took Foxi to
her house. The vet was down the road at the livestock
auction, so I took Foxi down there, the vet was busy,
and agreed to go to the buyers house when she was
done. So I took Foxi over to her house. That was my
first mistake. Then it was late when the vet called,
so they put it off untill the following Tuesday. This
vet only comes to Fallon once a week. There are other
vets (the ones I use) but this lady wanted HER vet.
In the meantime, she rode Foxi, and Foxi supposedly
"spooked" (something she NEVER did for me or my mom in
5 years) and from what I understand, Foxi sat down,
and the lady slid off. So a few days later at her vet
check, the vet sees a Grade 1 lameness in a front leg.
She is supposed to get her x-rayed this coming
Tuesday when the vet comes back, but I am fairly
disgusted with the woman's attitude and am tempted to
go get my horse back. I think I will wait untill
after the x-ray, to make sure this woman didn't hurt
my horse, because I did not deliver a lame horse to
her house. She says she can not see the lameness,
just the vet can. This vet is an endurance vet, so a
Grade 1 lameness may not be visable to the average
eye. Determining lameness in a gaited horse is also a
tricky thing. Anyway, I did not advertise Foxi, and
didn't really want to sell her, but this woman pursued
me, so when I go get Foxi back, she will not get the
entire amount; I am going to take out "lease" money
and transport. She has pissed me off!! Here she is
talking about Foxi being a "pissed off pony" with no
regard for Foxi missing her herd or her son. Oh, she
says she knows Foxi may miss her herd, but her words:
pissed off pony say otherwise. So she is not
deserving of Foxi. She has been screwed by two other
horse sales in the past, and in trying to be fair to
her I have screwed myself.
