Not allowed in the lease. All of the leasers are people who take
lessons from her. And also participate on her trail riding lesson
program to some degree.

how does she screen out all that.

They are people who are in her program....if they go to another
trainer for lessons, she tells them politley to ask their own trainer
for a horse. If they are interested in her horses, they must be
involved with her program. This really protects the horses that she
breeds.

There is no perfect fully protected system to save a horse from a
stupid person, or one that turns out to be neglectful or with no
sense of what is best for the horse.

This trainer has been breeding and training for over 20 years and has
had only one bad incindent, which led her to this system of leasing,
instead of selling.

I must admit, we no longer sell our babies at 6 months becuase of
this
issue of training and handling. And we might even use her system of
leasing when the time comes that we have trained riding horses that
need to go somewhaer else....

Whatever the lease is, the owner of the horse can stipulate anything
that he/she wants, including handling, training, pasture vs
stalls...shoes vs barefoot....
