Well, I will just have to say that if I wanted to post I would ride a trotting horse. I hate posting, its one of the reasons I am into Icelandics....so having said that I will say that of the Icelandics that I have ridden only one of them has a posting trot. His gaits are very evenly distributed....I really tried to sit his trot, but to no avail, so I trotted him up hills so it would work for both of us....my size, knees and the No Desire to post all lets me be very content to ride Icelandics that enable me to sit the trot. My mares trot is so nice that listening to the footfalls is how I distinguish it from her tolt at times. Call me a bad horserider, however if I wanted to trot I could have my pick many horses. I do feel however that if the horse has a big trot that needs to be posted that the rider, especially a professional should help the horse out with the rythym and their back and post it. Skye
