wtf? that is a module definition which is clearly not to be put in
icinga.cfg but as seperated object definition - like put in modules/ or
whatever you prefer to include.

read the docs properly, especially on how to enable event broker
modules. furthermore, check the versions and the differences - meaning
to say - read the Changelog as well. idomod.o was one of those changes
for 1.7 you should normally not seeing on a fresh install, but since you
are following the 1.6 guides, you run into funny errors.
thing is - i still don't get why you do not use packages.
