Based on what I'm reading from you and from Wolfgang, I am beginning to sense that there's something going wrong during the "./configure --enable-idoutils" phase. If you don't see lines like these: Event Broker: yes ido2db lockfile: ${prefix}/var/ido2db.lock ido sockfile: ${prefix}/var/ido.sock idomod tempfile: ${prefix}/var/idomod.tmp Build IDOUtils: libdbi, instance_name=default in the ./configure output, something is likely erroring out and keeping ido2db from being built (although how you have ido2db and not idomod.so remains a mystery). I'd like to second Michael's comment about packages. Pre-built packages make it *much* easier to maintain things than custom- building does. Since packages exist for your OS, I would strongly encourage using them unless you're making tweaks to the source or need to install somewhere other than the package default.
