Hi,
We have faced some interesting routing problems from VSNL.
We have two accounts, one exclusively for the ISDN interface, and the
other for the normal modem interface. We are unable to dial out through
modem and connect(rout) back to the ISDN interface.
Sending a mail from my system, where the outgoing mail server is
configured as cal.vsnl.net.in, while I am connected to
giascl01.vsnl.net.in
The error I got is :
"An error occured while sending mail. The mail server responded
<[EMAIL PROTECTED]> .. relaying denied. Please check the message
receipients and try again."
When I got this error first time I was puzzled. Later I changed my
outgoing email server as giascl01.vsnl.net.in and the mail went through.
My question:
Which is the mail server that responded relaying denied, is it
cal.vsnl.net.in ( the outgoing email server configured in my system ),
or is it giascl01 which is the server I am connected to.
Indra and Arup has seen some more related problems and could explain
this problem a bit better.
regards
jpm

JPM
