Well, the 172226 number has been behaving itself for the last 48 hours... 
another thing is that the average round trip time of an ICMP packet sent to 
cal.vsnl.net.in is taking a little longer than it used to do before... 
however, this doesn't quite surprise me...I wonder why..??? ;-)
