I only wish it was that simple.... last evening last evening at Shanker's place, we
were fiddling with nslookup.... and
what we saw was pretty horrifying .. reverse address resolution entries missing... SOA
fields being present where it
should have no business at all... it was a vision from the domain admin's hell and it
is currently being further
explored by us.

Why on earth??? Agreed that at home I don't have an ISDN connection....but I can
send/receive mails from any/all of my
boxen with no trouble. Besides, I have had the same problem (and even more peculiar
ones) even when I am directly
connected to the Net (ie. no IP_masq). The problem is entirely with VSNL. The relay
problem could have been justified
if they had deactivated relaying from non-local domains (as being done by many
mailservers to stop themselves from
being exploited by spammers), but that is not the case...

(I suggest we gherao Mr. A. Chandra sometime soon, and demand to be relieved of this
misery ;-)

Cheers,
--Indra.
