Hi,
I think shourya's idea of holding Linux workshops in school's and colleges
is a brilliant idea. We can start off with schools like DBPC , LMB/G and
Xaviers as all these schools have a proper Computer Club. We can talk to
these schools - at least me and Shourya can try talking to DBPC, Ridhi with
Xaviers and we have Prateek from LMB. Once we are succesful with these
schools we can proceed to the others as well some colleges. But before we
proceed , we must be well prepared about what we are going to present. Ridhi
has rightly pointed out that we should project Linux as an alternative OS
which is user friendly , provides the user with much more choice and freedom
and is more powerful than most other OSes.
We can discuss more and this idea and draw up a complete plan as to how to
go about the entire thing.
